Davor Bruketa

Croatia, guest of 5th BSVC & MOD (2011) Davor was born 1973 in Zagreb, Croatia. He graduated in design from the Design School of the Zagreb University. In 1995, together with Nikola Žinić, he co-founded Bruketa&Žinić OM, a design studio which, in 2004, became an advertising agency where he has since then worked as the creative director.

In the following years he also co-founded the first Croatian branding agency Brandoctor (with Anja Bauer and Moe Minkara), a digital agency Brlog (with Tin Kadoić), a shop concept studio Brigada (with Damjan Geber) and Bruketa&Žinić OM Baku in Azerbaijan (with Moe Minkara).

All of Davor Bruketa’s professional achievements are related to the agency. The team projects won more that 300 international design and advertising awards (Red Dot, Art Directors Club New York, London International Awards, Epica, New York Festivals, Cresta, Clio, D&AD, I.D. Best of Category, How Best of Show, International Design Awards, Good Design, European Design Awards, Graphis, Pentawards etc.). Bruketa's work is being published continuously in numerous professional publications and exhibitions (I.D., How, Communication Arts, Print, Novum, Dezeen, Graphis, Logolounge, numerous Rockport editions such as Atlas of Graphic Design etc.).

Davor Bruketa was the first person from the South‑eastern Europe to preside over the London International Awards jury. He was also a jury member of the Art Directors Club New York, D&AD London, NY Festivals, Graphis, MIAF-Moscow, and is a permanent member of the Cresta Awards jury.

His clients (the agency's clients) range from large international to small local companies and NGO’s working in almost all major industries from food to telecommunications, corporate communication and public awareness. His experience includes working with communication and creative strategies, advertising, visual identity, graphic and packaging design, interactive communication, promotion and point of sale activities, branding, events and ambients.
