8th Brumen Biennial: exhibition opening and award ceremony
The Brumen Foundation is organising the 8th Brumen Biennial of Slovenian Design, an integral part of which is the Biennial exhibition and the award ceremony for the highest national awards in the field of design.
We are kindly inviting you to attend the gala event, which will take place at the National Gallery of Slovenia on 24 October 2017 at 7 p.m.
The president of the Brumen Foundation, Radovan Jenko, and the president of the Biennial, Ranko Novak, will present the Brumen awards to the recipients and open the exhibition. All awarded and exhibited works were selected by the international jury of the 8th Brumen Biennial.
Opening of “Visual Identity of Slovenia” Exhibition in Buenos Aires
Upon the celebration of Slovene day of independance, Slovene embassy in Buenos Aires opened an exhibition of designs by Miljenko Licul entitled “Visual Identity of Slovenia – Designing for the Country”.

On Monday, 15 July 2013, at 92 years of age, died Niko Kralj, the father of the folding chair Rex and the most important figure in post-war industrial design in Slovenia.
Graphic designer, illustrator, professor in the department of Visual Communications at the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and Design (1991-2013), winner of the Golden Bird (1981) and Prešeren Fund Award (1996), also active in the field of marketing (author of the linden leaf sign for the campaign Slovenia, my country, member of the jury of the first Magdalena Festival 1999), animation, comics.
